Otevřený dopis vládě ČR

Chceme touto cestou vyjádřit vděčnost vládě České republiky za pevnou podporu Státu Izrael, kterou projevuje v době válečného konfliktu rozpoutaného teroristickou organizací Hamás 7. října loňského roku. Vážíme si odvážného a principiálního politického postoje naší vlády, který je v této záležitosti ojedinělý a o to cennější.

Sdílíme utrpení palestinských civilistů a přejeme jim brzký návrat míru. Za skutečné viníky ale považujeme členy Hamásu, kteří současný válečný konflikt důkladně naplánovali a provádějí ho s cílevědomou brutalitou a bezohledností vůči Izraelcům, ale i vůči vlastnímu obyvatelstvu.

Je zřejmé, že Hamás cíleně prohlubuje humanitární katastrofu v Gaze, prodlužuje válečnou konfrontaci s Izraelem a záměrně vystavuje palestinské civilisty dalšímu násilí a ztrátám. Je rovněž zřejmé, že Hamás oddaluje propuštění rukojmí, aby z jejich utrpení vytěžil co nejvíce a aby se pokoušel provokovat napětí uvnitř izraelské společnosti.

Izrael nemá v současnosti jinou volbu než vojensky bránit samotnou existenci svého státu, současnou i budoucí. Osvobození rukojmí se může stát prvním reálným krokem k ukončení války: za osvobození rukojmí se staví tato petice.

LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC: SUPPORT FOR GOVERNMENT POLICY TOWARDS ISRAEL

We would like to express our gratitude to the Government of the Czech Republic for its firm support for the State of Israel during the military conflict unleashed by the terrorist organization Hamas on 7 October last year. We appreciate the courageous and principled political stance of our Government, which is exceptional and all the more valuable in this matter.

We share the suffering of Palestinian civilians and wish them a speedy return to peace. However, we consider the real culprits to be the members of Hamas, who have meticulously planned the current military conflict and are carrying it out with deliberate brutality and recklessness not only against the Israelis, but also against their own population. It is clear that Hamas is deliberately exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, prolonging the military confrontation with Israel, and deliberately exposing Palestinian civilians to further violence and losses. It is also clear that Hamas is delaying the release of the hostages in order to take advantage of their suffering and to try to provoke tensions within Israeli society.

Israel currently has no choice but to defend militarily the very existence of its state, both now and in the future. Freeing the hostages can be the first real step towards ending the war: this petition calls for the release of the hostages.
